Beginners Piano Lessons in Atlanta
"Beginner" doesn't have to mean "child." Our minds never stop learning and growing. Though children may learn at a quicker pace than adults, grown-ups still have the skill and ability to learn something brand new, like music. Music is a language in itself, with symbols, syntax and other rules. So, if you have ever wanted to learn a new language, music can be a great start.
The piano really is the perfect tool for beginners to learn music. Its layout is simple, and learning to play it is much more logical than on other intruments. One key equals one note, whereas on, say, a flute, you may need to close multiple holes just to play one note.
Learning to play the piano can be a great way to expand your mind, while learning a new skill at the same time. Though practicing every day is encouraged, it is not required. You can learn at your own pace. Many students choose to learn at a leisurely pace, allowing them to practice when they have time. Others devote every spare second to learning the piano, quickly mastering the basics and beyond. No matter which you choose, I can help you develop the lifelong skill of playing music well.
Lesson Plans
For beginners, I recommend four half-hour lessons a month, costing $120 per month.* This plan also includes workshop lessons once or twice a year with an guest artist or teacher. I also encourage every student to take part in recitals to demonstrate what they have learned so far. Recitals are free, and are held one to two times per year.
Though this plan is recommended, it is not required. I will work to create a personalized lesson schedule for you. Call or email today to learn more about beginner's piano lessons in Atlanta and Athens, GA!
